The Chicago Young Americans are pleased to announce that forward Jenna Rekoske has committed to play NCAA hockey for Wesleyan University.

The Chicago Young Americans are pleased to announce that forward Jenna Rekoske has committed to play NCAA hockey for Wesleyan University. Wesleyan is located in Middletown, Connecticut and plays in the NESCAC, a highly sought after league to play in by many.

“We are all so excited for Jenna and this commitment,” commented Cimba. “Seeing her grow from a quiet U12 into a leader at U19’s, both on and off the ice, has been an amazing transformation. She’s never had a shortage of drive or work ethic, which is going to serve her well both on the ice and in the classroom. It’s going to be fun to watch her at the next level and to watch her continue to grow. Great things are coming for her.”

Jenna will be joining CYA alum, Audrey McMahon as she continues to add to CYA’s tradition of placing players in some of the top schools in the country.

“It’s a place where I can see myself thriving both academically and athletically,” said Rekoske. “It has always been at the top of my list, and to see all my hard work pay off is simply surreal. Juggling the commitment that CYA brings, along with my academics and busy running schedule I know that I could never have done it without the support of my parents. You have both been there for me every step of the way and I thank you for everything. You have kept me focused, positive, and determined. I also want to thank my teammates for their support and friendship and for making the experience even more enjoyable. The season is long and grueling, and having a true hockey family is the key to everything.”

CYA U19’s are entering a very competitive part of their schedule and Jenna will be leaned upon heavily to help make it a success. Jenna your entire hockey family couldn't be happier for you.

Congrats Jenna!!!
